MD67xx Series: Digital Power Management ICs with Built-in MCU
The MD67xx series are digital power management ICs, in which Sanken’s expertise in designing analog power supply control systems and technology in developing MCUs are well combined.
Compared to conventional analog control circuits, the MD67xx series can achieve more cost-effective, high-efficient, yet low-noise power systems with fewer external components.
MD6605: A New MCU Developed for Next-gen Power Electronics Control
We currently mass-produce the MD67xx series in which the MD6603 is embedded.
As a replacement for the MD6603, we have been developing a new unique microcontroller unit, the MD6605, specialized for power electronics control.
This self-developed MD6605 includes the following modules: a 32-bit CPU core, DSPs, EPUs, and a ReRAM which is built on the advanced 22 nm process.

Digital Power Management ICs with the MD6605
We plan to incorporate the MD6605 into our power management ICs: the MD677x/672x series and the MX series.
The MD6605-embedded ICs will help LLC circuits have simultaneous 2-output control in the secondary side, making control systems more complex than ever.
This replacement plan will also offer a broader range of applications — point-of-load (POL) power supplies for MPUs used in servers, as well as power supplies for TVs or lighting equipment.
Additionally, those with the MD6605 will bring better system-wide efficiency to PFC power supplies.
